What Is the Waismann Method?

Last updated: Friday, 21, August 2020

One type of therapy that is growing in popularity is actually just for the physical symptoms of withdrawal. It is called the Waismann Method, and it is a method of rapid detoxification that allows the abuser to be asleep while he or she goes through all the different stages of oxycodone detoxification. When used in conjunction with holistic rehab and other coping techniques, this type of detoxification can be extremely effective. The individual is asleep through most of the worst parts of the detoxification and withdrawal process, making them less likely to start using again. However, it should be noted that this procedure is a medical procedure, and must, therefore, be done by trained medical professionals only.
